A Word From God…

Haggai 2:3-9 AMP

‘Who is left among you who saw this house (temple) in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison?

These passages remind me that we like Zerubbabel are frustrated with our current spiritual state. Many older believers remember in earlier days how God mightily showed up in our church services but now His strong presence seems to be gone. We long for His cleansing presence once again!

But now be courageous, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord, ‘be courageous also, Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be courageous, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘As for the promise which I made with you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit stands [firm and immovable] and continues with you; do not fear!’

But God will hear our cry for Him to return with power if we too like Zerubbabel and other believers in our country are courageous and DO THE WORK to prepare for God to return in POWER! God promised the Hebrew people He would be with them in their hard times, and He is promising us His Holy Spirit will continue to be with us if we DO NOT GET INTO FEAR!

For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more, in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the desirable and precious things of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory and splendor,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ declares the Lord of hosts. ‘The latter [b]glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the Lord of hosts.”

God warns us just like He did in ancient days He is going to shake all the nations, heavens and earth resulting in people bringing God their offerings. Is He not doing that? So we need to work, prepare a place for Him and cleanse the temple (we, too are temples). When we do this God will return with glory and splendor and fill the temple!!! That is also when God will show up in our churches once again but in greater glory than ever before!

Once more God will bless his people with peace and prosperity. Praise His Holy Name!!!
